★★★★★

“Training never felt like a checklist, but something worth caring about. His sessions were practical and scenario-based, and during BBS discussions he genuinely valued input from junior officers, not just senior staff, which encouraged honest reporting across the crew. A true asset to any team focused on safety.”

Ig MinSecond Officer, VLCC

Anmol Singh KalsiSecond Officer
★★★★★

“I have no hesitation in recommending this instructor to anyone pursuing a career at sea. He possesses a rare combination of deep maritime expertise and a natural talent for teaching that makes complex material feel accessible and relevant. Throughout the training, he consistently prepared students to handle the responsibilities of any deck position, helping them build both the technical knowledge and the confidence needed to advance from cadet level all the way to command. What made his instruction especially valuable was his background in conducting vessel inspections. This experience allowed him to bring authentic, real-world perspectives into every lesson and offer practical advice that goes far beyond standard theory. He is professional, approachable, and clearly dedicated to his students’ growth. Learning from him was both productive and genuinely enjoyable.”

★★★

“Having interacted with Capt. Mykola I can clearly say he has an eye for details and the missing links during an operation. The good thing is that he does not just see and bypass them but makes them a learning moment which led to improvement of systems and people.”

What changes everything

Stop selling what you did. Start selling what changes because you are there.

Selling your experience

  • Listing your background and past positions when asked what you do
  • Quoting a day rate, then waiting to be compared on price
  • Letting the client decide your scope, your timeline, your worth
  • Income capped by the hours you can personally sell

Selling an outcome

  • One clear problem, one client, one result they can measure
  • Fixed fees priced on the outcome, not the clock
  • Offers built around what the client loses without you aboard
  • A direct path to the first client, not a plan to make a plan

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Marine Surveying

Pre-purchase, condition, on/off hire, damage and P&I surveys. Each survey is independent. MAMVC has no commercial relationship with any seller, broker or yard. The survey exists to give you an accurate picture of the vessel.
Porto is the base. Primary coverage is Portugal and the Atlantic corridor. International work is taken on instruction. Send the vessel name, IMO number, type, current port and survey type required and we confirm availability within 24 hours.
Fully independent. The fee comes from the client commissioning the survey. That is the only financial relationship. Mykola has no broker referral arrangements, no yard affiliations and no commercial interest in the outcome of the survey.
A physical inspection of the vessel before you commit to buying. Hull condition, machinery, safety equipment, documentation and flag state compliance. The report tells you the actual condition of the vessel, what it will cost to bring up to standard, and what to negotiate on before you sign.
A written survey report documenting condition found, deficiencies noted and items requiring attention. The report covers what was inspected, what was found and the basis for every finding. It is yours to use for negotiation, insurance or flag state purposes.

Port Captaincy & Project Cargo

Operational support for complex port movements and project cargo. Vessel arrivals and departures, berth planning, cargo handling supervision, maritime authority coordination. The service is for situations that require someone who has managed these operations from the bridge, not only from an office.
Heavy lift, project cargo, dry docking, vessel sale and purchase operations and incident response. Atlantic corridor focus. International assignments on request.

Mentorship

Senior maritime officers building an independent shore career. Marine surveying, DPA roles, port captaincy advisory, independent consulting. Officers who have the sea experience and are ready to convert it into a sustainable practice ashore.
Maritime academy graduates and deck cadets preparing for their first sea contract. The programme covers the gap between academy training and what is actually required on a working vessel. All commercial vessel types except LNG and LPG. 8 weeks for OS/AB readiness. 12 weeks for those building toward junior officer faster.
Both options are available depending on the programme. Sea to Shore runs one-to-one. From Theory to First Watch at Sea offers private or group sessions. The first 15-minute call confirms which format fits your situation.
